My Dear Parishioners and Friends around the World:

This web site was created from a commemorative book published for our parish on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary. This anniversary was a truly remarkable year in the history of our parish.

Certainly the presence of John Cardinal O’Connor on October 25, 1998 was the high point in the celebration of our One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary. I know that he was overwhelmed by the festivities and the huge throng that assembled to greet him and participate with him in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

From all the letters, notes and other reports that I have received, there has never been another day like it in our town. This web site becomes a permanent part of the folklore of New Rochelle and will remain in our hearts as a wonderful day that will never be forgotten.

We are at the start of a new age in technology and Blessed Sacrament is pleased to be one of the first parishes to make use of this new medium, the Internet.

I am exceedingly grateful to all of you in joining us to share this internet beginning. It will be a tangible expression of your pride in Blessed Sacrament and your own personal participation in our parish. I know it will be remembered for generations to come.
